USA's THE WILDING
  • The cable network has given a 2-hour pilot order to drama The Wilding written by Silka Luisa. Tim Kring, Justin Levy, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Rian Cahill will executive produce, with Ciarán Foy set to direct. Universal Cable Productions will produce. Set in suburban North Carolina, the project centers around the Hayes family - a typical, loving blended family seeking a fresh start after their 17-year-old daughter, Kayla, is released from a mental health institution following ten years of treatment. Their ideals are quickly threatened when Kayla's apparitions of the dead begin to haunt them once again.
HBO's THE DEUCE
  • Margarita Levieva (Revenge), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Wire) and Dominique Fishback (Show Me a Hero) have been cast on the drama pilot starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Levieva will play Abigail "Abby" Parker, an adventurous college student who strikes up a relationship with nightclub owner Vincent Martino (Franco) who has ties to the burgeoning sex industry of early '70s Times Square. Gilliard Jr. will play Chris Alston, an NYPD patrolman working midtown Manhattan. Fishback will play Darlene, a young, sweet-natured prostitute who's trying to survive on the street while under the thumb of a volatile, violent pimp.
