Development News - Lusia Strus and Terry Kinney Join 'Good Behavior'; Stephen Graham Boards 'Brooklyn Animal Control'

Development News - October 6, 2015

Showtime's Untitled Lena Waithe Project; TNT's Good Behavior; and USA's Brooklyn Animal Control.

TNT's GOOD BEHAVIOR
  • Lusia Strus (Wayward Pines) and Terry Kinney (Show Me a Hero) have been cast on the drama pilot starring Michelle Dockery and Juan Diego Botto. Strus will play Estelle, the legal guardian of Jacob, Letty's (Dockery) 10-year-old son, who she sees as her do-over. But in her efforts to be a good mother she may be doing even more damage. Like Letty, Estelle has dark demons and way too much fun. Kinney will play Christian, Letty's substance abuse counselor, a mentor and father figure who doesn't always hear the truth from Letty, but he's lying to her as well, not only about his own sobriety but also about why he's really helping her.
USA's BROOKLYN ANIMAL CONTROL
  • Boardwalk Empire alum Stephen Graham has landed the lead role on the drama pilot written by JT Petty. Additionally, Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones) has signed on to direct and executive produce the pilot. Graham will play John Crean, an officer of the Brooklyn Animal Control who is well-acquainted with the small community of werewolves to which he plays cop, counselor and diplomat. When backed against a wall, he will buck tradition and risk everything to protect his miscreant son.
SHOWTIME's UNTITLED LENA WAITHE PROJECT
  • Amanda Brooks (My Best Friend's Girl) will co-star on the drama pilot written by Lena Waithe. She will play Sarah, an assistant chef at a posh restaurant in uptown Chicago who has made Brandon (Tosin Cole) her protégé, convinced that he might be able to work his way out of kitchen duty. She is merciless in teaching Brandon his trade and lets him know in no uncertain terms that he'll need to have a complete commitment to transform himself from dishwasher to cook.
