NBC Gives Full Season Order to 'Blindspot'

No surprise here: NBC's Blindspot is the first freshman series from the broadcast networks to earn an order for nine additional episodes. The news broke early Friday evening. The show will produce 22 episodes for its first season.





Executive produced by Martin Gero and Greg Berlanti, the drama centers on a mysterious women who has lost her memory and must work with a special FBI team to solve the crimes that have been tattooed all over her body.

The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, Ukweli Roach and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Guest stars for the first season include Johnny Whitworth, Michael Gaston and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Airing Mondays at 10/9c. following The Voice, Blindspot ranks as the season's highest rated new series in Adults 18-49. The series premiere opened with a 3.1 rating. The two following episodes did a 2.6 and 2.4. Additionally, the first two episodes have grown by 4.6 million viewers when factoring in three days of DVR usage. Numbers for Live+7 results should be out early next week.
