TBS Cancels 'Clipped' and 'Your Family or Mine'

TBS has officially opted not to order any additional episodes of freshmen comedies Clipped and Your Family or Mine. Both series only aired one season - both of which were 10 episodes long. That means the cable network will have no multi-camera comedies airing in 2016.

Created by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, Clipped centered on a group of kids from high school who ran in different circles but all now work together in a barbershop.

The cast featured Mike Castle, Ashley Tisdale, Lauren Lapkus, Ryan Pinkston, Matt Cook, Diona Reasonover and George Wendt.

Kohan and Mutchnick executive produced, with director James Widdoes. Warner Horizon Television produced. The series averaged 1.23 million total viewers during its season.

Developed by Greg Malins, Your Family or Mine focused on a young married couple and their adventures with their different families. Each episode would focus on one side of the family and the next one would move over to the other one.

The cast featured Kyle Howard, Kat Foster, Richard Dreyfuss, JoBeth Williams, Ed Begley Jr., Cynthia Stevenson, Danny Comden, Angela Kinsey, Andrew Lees, Stephanie Hunt and Collette Wolfe.

Malins executive produced with Jamie Tarses, Rubi Duanias, Yaniv Polishuk, Avi Nir, Ran Telem and Tamira Yardeni. Sony Pictures Television, FanFare Productions and Keshet International produced. The series averaged 1.27 million total viewers during its season.

Both comedies were developed and ordered to series in May 2014 - before Kevin Reilly took over as head of the network. Since then, Reilly has been pushing for edgier, single-camera shows in order to compete with the other basic cable networks.
