TNT has renewed its original drama series Murder in the First for a third season, it was announced Thursday evening. The drama was created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal. The new season will debut in 2016.
Murder in the First follows two detectives (played by Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson) as they investigating a single case across an entire season.
The cast for the second season also included Ian Anthony Dale, Raphael Sbarge, Lombardo Boyar, Currie Graham, Mimi Kirkland, Laila Robins, Emmanuelle Chriqui and A.J. Buckley.
The second season averaged 2 million total viewers. TNT Original Productions produces the drama.
