NBC's GOOD PLACE
- The Martian and Daredevil writer Drew Goddard has signed on to direct the first episode of the new comedy from Mike Schur (Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Yesterday, Kristen Bell and Ted Danson were tapped to play the lead roles. The series will also mark Goddard's TV directing debut.
NETFLIX's BETWEEN
- Steven Grayhm and Mercedes Morris have joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season. Grayhm will play Liam Cullen, a mysterious visitor to Pretty Lake who claims to have the answer to the epidemic that has ravaged the small town. Morris will play Renee, a powerful leader of an off-the-grid cult just outside the town.
MTV's TEEN WOLF
- Gilles Marini (Switched at Birth) and Lachlan Buchanan (The Young and the Restless) will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's fifth season. Marini will play Sebastien, a French soldier who returns home only to discover that a vicious beast has been terrorizing the people he loves. Buchanan will play Henri, a recluse from the Argent family line who knows a bit about the supernatural world.
THE CW's THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
- Mouzam Makkar (The Following) has booked a recurring role on the drama's seventh season. She will play Alex, a beautiful, charming and cocky researcher at the head of a mysterious organization who has ties to Enzo's (Michae Malarkey) backstory.
SYFY's 12 MONKEYS and HUNTERS
- The cable network has set April premiere dates for two of its dramas. New series Hunters starring Nathan Phillips, Britne Oldford and Julian McMahon will debut on Monday, April 11 at 10/9c. And then, 12 Monkeys will return for its 13-episode second season on Monday, April 18 at 9/8c.
OWN's QUEEN SUGAR
- Rutina Wesley (True Blood, Hannibal) has been cast in a lead role on the upcoming drama series from Selma's Ava DuVernay. She will play Nova, a formidable journalist and activist based in New Orleans. Her life, and that of her brother and their extended family, undergoes significant change when her sister, Charley, returns to Louisiana from Los Angeles to help run the family sugarcane farm.
AMC's BETTER CALL SAUL
- Ed Begley Jr. (Arrested Development, Blunt Talk) will recur on the upcoming second season of the hit drama. He will play an authority figure who has the power to make many of Jimmy's (Bob Odenkirk) dreams come true, if Jimmy can only play ball.
LIFETIME's UNREAL
- B.J. Britt (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Being Mary Jane) has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season as a new series regular. He will play Darius Hill, a drop-dead gorgeous professional quarterback who becomes Everlasting's first Black suitor. With a million dollar smile and swagger, Darius is the whole package and his casting marks a huge win for Quinn (Constance Zimmer) and Rachel (Shiri Appleby). Hoping to charm his way out of a PR scandal, Darius has no idea that the ride he's about to take on Everlasting will change his life forever.
