HBO Gives Series Order to Comedy 'Crashing' Starring Pete Holmes

HBO has given a series order to original comedy series Crashing starring Pete Holmes and executive produced by Judd Apatow. An episode count or premiere date window were not immediately released.

The semi-autobiographical comedy stars Holmes as a sweet, wholesome comedian who stays on the couches of New York's finest comedians after his wife leaves him.

Holmes wrote the pilot as well, which Apatow directed. It marked the first pilot directing job for Apatow - who also executive produces HBO's Girls and Netflix's Love. Holmes and Apatow executive produce with Dave Rath, Josh Church and Igor Srubshchik. Oren Brimer is a co-producer.
