CBS Cancels 'Angel From Hell' After 5 Episodes

CBS has pulled its original comedy series Angel From Hell from its schedule, effectively canceling the single camera comedy starring Jane Lynch and Maggie Lawson.

Starting on February 18, 2 Broke Girls will take over Angel From Hell's time slot at 9:30/8:30c. This week a repeat of The Big Bang Theory will air in the slot. It's currently unclear if any of the remaining episodes of Angel From Hell's 13 episode order will air.

From CBS Television Studios, the comedy debuted on January 7 to a 1.6 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 8 million total viewers. The following four episodes have dipped though - to about a 1.4 rating and 6.3 million viewers.

In addition to Lynch and Lawson, the comedy also starred Kyle Bornheimer and Kevin Pollak.

Tad Quill created the series and executive produced with Don Scardino and Peter Tibbals.
