Casting News - Annet Mahendru to Recur on 'Tyrant'; Netflix Sets Premieres for 'The Crown' & 'Marco Polo'; Plus 4 More Updates!

Amazon's The Man in the High Castle; FX's Tyrant; IFC's Maron; Netflix's The Crown, Iron Fist & Marco Polo; and Showtime's Episodes.





FX's TYRANT
  • The Americans star Annet Mahendru has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Nafisa Al-Qadi, the wife of Sheik Al-Qadi, the spiritual and political leader of Ma'an who is caught between the violent tactics of the Caliphate and his distrust of the Al-Fayeeds. Nafisa is more politically hardline than her husband and also happens to be the sister of a high-ranking Caliphate sympathizer.
NETFLIX's THE CROWN and MARCO POLO
  • The entire second season of Marco Polo will debut on the online streaming service on Friday, July 1. Additionally, new drama The Crown from Stephen Daldry and Peter Morgan will drop its entire first season on Friday, November 4. The Crown stars Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Victoria Hamilton, Jared Harris, Vanessa Kirby, Eileen Atkins and John Lithgow.
AMAZON's THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE
  • Sebastian Roche (The Originals, Scandal) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Reichminister Martin Hausmann, a wealthy, high-ranking Nazi official based in Berlin. He is Joe's (Luke Kleintank) biological but estranged father, and is sincere in his desire to reconnect with his son, but would not blink twice about the extermination of the enemies of the Reich.
IFC's MARON
  • The hit comedy starring Marc Maron will return for its fourth season on Wednesday, May 4 at 9/8c. with two back-to-back episodes. Guest stars for the new season include Ron Perlman, Constance Zimmer, Amy Smart, Joey "Coco" Diaz, Don Stark, Randy and Jason Sklar, Judd Hirsch, Sally Kellerman, Andy Kindler, Whitney Cummings and Dave Anthony.
NETFLIX's IRON FIST
  • David Wenham (Lord of the Rings, 300) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick. He will play Harold Meachum, a ruthless corporate leader who was partner with Danny's (Jones) parents at the time of their deaths.
SHOWTIME's EPISODES
  • The premium cable network has announced today that the upcoming fifth season of the hit comedy starring Matt LeBlanc will be its final one. The new season will include seven episodes, all of which to be directed by co-creator Jeffrey Klarik, and wrap its run in 2017.
