Casting News - April 13, 2016

ABC's The Catch; CBS' Zoo; FOX's New Girl; Hulu's Chance; Lifetime's UnREAL; and NBC's Chicago Med.

FOX's NEW GIRL
  • Masters of Sex star Caitlin FitzGerald will appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy's fifth season. She will play an old medical school friend of Jess' (Zooey Deschanel) on-again boyfriend, Sam (David Walton).
ABC's THE CATCH
  • Downton Abbey alum Lesley Nicol has booked a recurring role on the drama's first season. No details were immediately released about the character she will be playing, which has become standard with all of the Shondaland dramas.
HULU's CHANCE
  • Diane Farr (Numb3rs, Rescue Me) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama in a recurring role. She will play Christina, Chance's (Hugh Laurie) ex-wife. Perpetually irritated and quick to sense criticism, she is now an aspiring photographer with a dyslexic personal trainer boyfriend and an endlessly renewable resentment toward her former husband.
CBS' ZOO
  • Joanne Kelly (Warehouse 13) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She will play Allison, the Deputy Secretary of Defense who is actively seeking a solution to the animal crisis and who shares a surprising history with Mitch (Billy Burke).
NBC's CHICAGO MED
  • Jeff Hephner will reprise his role as Jeff Clarke from Chicago Fire in the first season finale of the hit drama - and continue to appear in multiple episodes of the already announced second season. He recurred throughout Fire's second season before his character was written out with a transfer to another firehouse. And now, Clarke has changed careers, gone back to school and is now a fourth-year medical student starting his rotation in the emergency department at Chicago Med.
LIFETIME's UNREAL
  • Ioan Gruffudd (Forever, Fantastic Four) has been cast on the drama's upcoming second season in a recurring role. He will play John Booth, a ruggedly handsome, optimistic and curious tech billionaire with the breezy demeanor of a man who owns the world. He's quick minded, adventurous, has a good sense of humor and no challenge is too huge for him. He eventually sets his sights on Quinn (Constance Zimmer).
