ABC's Mistresses & When We Rise; BBC America's Thirteen; Hulu's Chance; Lifetime's Devious Maids; Netflix's The Defenders; and Starz's The White Princess.




NETFLIX's THE DEFENDERS
  • Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez - who served as showrunners for the second season of Daredevil - have been named executive producers and showrunners for the upcoming miniseries. The event will bring the lead heroes from the four previous series - Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) - together to face their biggest threat yet. Additionally, Drew Goddard - who wrote the first two episodes of Daredevil - has also boarded the series as an executive producer.
HULU's CHANCE
  • Ethan Suplee (My Name is Earl) has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming drama starring Hugh Laurie. He will play D, a powerfully built, tattooed man of few words. He is ex-military and served in Afghanistan. These days he works under the radar doing antiques restoration. 
BBC AMERICA's THIRTEEN
  • The five-part limited series created by Marnie Dickens will premiere on Thursday, June 23 at 10/9c. The series stars Jodie Comer, Natasha Little, Stuart Graham, Katherine Rose Morley, Richard Rankin, Valene Kane, Joe Layton, Eleanor Wyld and Nicholas Farrell.
STARZ's THE WHITE PRINCESS
  • Jodie Comer (Thirteen, Doctor Foster) has landed the title role of the upcoming sequel series to The White Queen. She will play Princess Elizabeth, the eldest daughter of Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville, who faces a conflict of loyalties between the red rose and the white. Forced into marriage with Henry VII, she must reconcile her slowly growing love for him with her loyalty to the House of York, and choose between her mother's rebellion and her husband's tyranny. Then she has to meet the Pretender, whose claim denies the House of Tudor itself.
ABC's WHEN WE RISE
  • Rafael de la Fuente (Empire) has joined the cast of the upcoming miniseries written by Dustin Lance Black. He will play Ricardo, Cleve Jones' (Guy Pearce) long-term boyfriend.
ABC's MISTRESSES
  • Ella Thomas (Ballers, Nina) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth season. She will play Jackie, a fitness instructor who befriends Joss (Jes Macallan).
LIFETIME's DEVIOUS MAIDS
  • Christopher J. Hanke (Three Rivers, Big Love) has been cast in a recurring role on the dramedy's upcoming fourth season. He will play Fabian, Genevieve's (Susan Lucci) new hair stylist and confidante who gives her a mysterious book that he insists will change her life.
