- Pearl Mackie has been revealed as the latest co-lead opposite Peter Capaldi on the veteran drama for its upcoming tenth season. She will play Bill, the Doctor's (Capaldi) new companion. She replaces Jenna Colman who exited the series last season in order to play the lead on the upcoming ITV/PBS drama Victoria. Mackie's casting was announced today via a video on Twitter.
