Casting News - Main Cast Set for 'Doctor Who' Spinoff 'Class'; Faye Dunaway Joins 'Hand of God'; Plus 6 More Updates!

Amazon's Hand of God; BBC America's Class; CBS' NCIS; The CW's Arrow; Discovery's Harley and the Davidsons; Epix's Berlin Station; Hulu's Casual & Difficult People; and Syfy's The Magicians.




BBC AMERICA's CLASS
  • Katherine Kelly (Happy Valley) and newcomers Greg Austin, Fady Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins and Vivian Oparah have been cast as the leads on the upcoming spinoff of Doctor Who. Kelly will play a teacher and powerful new presence at Coal Hill School. Austin, Elsayed, Hopkins and Oparah will play four students who are set to face their own worst fears and be forced to navigate a life of friends, parents, school work, sex, sorrow - and possibly the end of existence.
AMAZON's HAND OF GOD
  • Oscar and Emmy winner Faye Dunaway (Bonnie and Clyde, Network) has joined the drama's upcoming second season in a major recurring role. She will play Valerie Harris, known as Aunt Val, the calculating, rapacious and traditional materfamilias of the powerful Harris family.
DISCOVERY's HARLEY AND THE DAVIDSONS
  • Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) and Dougray Scott (Fear the Walking Dead) have been cast on the upcoming miniseries starring Michiel Huisman. Bethel will play Ray Weishaar, a member of the "Wrecking Crew" who helped popularize the slang term "hog" in reference to Harley, taking victory laps with the team's pig mascot. Scott will play Randall James, CEO of Indian Motorcycles, Harley's chief competitor.
HULU's CASUAL and DIFFICULT PEOPLE
  • The online streaming service has set premiere dates for two of its original comedies today. The 13-episode season season of Casual starring Michaela Watkins and Tommy Dewey will begin on Tuesday, June 7 with two episodes. The 10-episode second season of Difficult People starring Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner will debut on Tuesday, July 12 with two episodes.
THE CW's ARROW
  • After recurring throughout the fourth season, Echo Kellum has been promoted to series regular status for the drama's upcoming fifth season. He plays Curtis Holt, a genius technology developer who works with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) at Palmer Technologies.
CBS' NCIS
  • Duane Henry (Doctors) will appear in two episodes of the drama's thirteen season - with an option to become a series regular for the already announced fourteenth season. He will play Clayton Reeves, an MI-6 officer who rose above his British blue collar roots to become a successful government agent. Offbeat and fun with swagger to spare, he has a professional confidence that's impossible to disregard. Although he has burned his fair share of bridges in the international intelligence community, he owns the choices he's made and he's determined to do what's right. 
EPIX's BERLIN STATION
  • William Sadler (Iron Man 3) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Richard Armitage and Rhys Ifans. He will play Clay Williams, an edgy, authoritative, lifetime military man and Director of the Counter Terrorism Center who arrives at Berlin Station with a mission to help solve a difficult situation.
SYFY's THE MAGICIANS
  • Trevor Einhorn (Mad Men, Dirty Dancing) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Josh Hoberman, a member of the mysteriously vanished Brakebills Class of 2016. Stuck in the Neitherlands for two years, he reveals what actually happened to his classmates and seems to know the way to Fillory.
