Crackle is pulling from the library of its parent company, Sony Pictures, for its next original drama series. The online streaming service has today ordered 10 episodes for a series adaptation of Snatch, the 2001 film from Guy Ritchie.
Inspired by the events of the movie but centering on new characters and plots, Snatch focuses on a group of 20-something up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.
No executive producers or cast are currently attached to the project. It remains unclear if Ritchie - who wrote and directed the film - will be involved in the series adaptation.
