Casting News - Rosie Perez, Parker Posey & More Join TBS' 'Search Party'; Tom Harper to Direct AMC's 'The Son'

  • Rosie Perez, Ron Livingston, Christine Taylor and Parker Posey have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming comedy starring Alia Shawkat. Additionally, Brandon Michael Hall has joined the show as a series regular. Hall will play Julian, Dory's (Shawkat) journalist ex-boyfriend who seeks the truth no matter who gets hurt. Perez will play Lorraine, a realtor whose life may be in peril for knowing too much about the missing girl. Livingston will play Keith, a private detective who takes Dory under his wing in the hunt for the missing Chantal. Taylor will play Gail, Dory's bored and wealthy employer who revels in getting the scoop on her hunt for Chantal. Posey will play Brick, the head of an artisanal boutique that turns out to be much more sinister than expected.
  • Tom Harper (War & Peace, Peaky Blinders) is set to direct the opening episode of the upcoming drama series starring Sam Neill. He replaces Michelle McLaren who was originally slated to direct the first episode but had to leave for scheduling reasons. Production begins in Austin, Texas in June for a 2017 premiere.
