HULU's DAWN
- The online streaming service has ordered a pilot for drama Dawn written by Hank Steinberg (Without a Trace) and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). Robert Stromberg will direct the pilot, which is set to begin production in Ireland on May 9. MGM Television will produce. The international cast includes Fola Evans Akingbola, Temuera Morrison, Carl Shaaban and Matthew Hopkinson. The project follows a tribe of Neanderthals as they struggle to survive and hold on to their own way of life after coming into contact with a family of Homo Sapiens. At the intersection of evolution and genocide, Dawn asks the fundamental question: What does it mean to be human?
