The CW's 'Containment' Won't Return for Second Season

This afternoon isn't completely filled with happy news at The CW. The broadcast network has also confirmed that its original drama series Containment will not be returning to the schedule for a second season.

Always billed as a limited event series, Containment has been fairly consistent in the ratings for the four episodes that have aired so far. Each episode has scored a 0.5 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic.

The drama stars David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young, Hanna Mangan-Lawrence and Trevor St. John.

Julie Plec developed the series adapted from the Belgian show Cordon. She executive produced with David Nutter. Warner Bros. Television and My So-Called Company produced.
