The CW's Reign; El Rey's From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series; Hulu's The Mindy Project & The Path; Netflix's Girlboss & Santa Clarita Diet; and OWN's The Haves and the Have Nots & Love Thy Neighbor.




NETFLIX's GIRLBOSS
  • Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland, Casual) has been cast in the lead role on the upcoming comedy written by Kay Cannon. She will play Sophia, a rebellious, broke anarchist who refuses to grow up. She stumbles upon her passion of selling vintage clothes online and becomes an unlikely businesswoman. As she builds her retail fashion empire, she realizes the value and the difficulty of being the boss of her own life.
THE CW's REIGN
  • Will Kemp (Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, Van Helsing) has joined the drama's upcoming fourth season in a recurring role - with an option to become a series regular. He will play Lord Darnley, a breezily confident, charming and warm man. He was born with a blood claim of his own to the English throne and a wildly ambitious mother whose love hinges entirely on his ability to secure a crown.
El REY's FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES
  • Nicky Whelan (Matador) and Maurice Compte (Narcos) have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming third season. No details were immediately released about Whelan's character. Compte will play Brassa, a mysterious figure who takes on the outlaw Gecko brothers (D.J. Cotrona & Zane Holtz).
NETFLIX's SANTA CLARITA DIET
  • The Grinder star Mary Elizabeth Ellis has landed a recurring role on the upcoming comedy starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. She will play Lisa, Joel (Olyphant) and Sheila's (Barrymore) next door neighbor. An outgoing party mom who doesn't mind conflict, LIsa says what she wants, no matter how inappropriate.
HULU's THE PATH
  • James Remar (Dexter, The Shannara Chronicles) will appear in a major recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Kodiak, a controversial longtime member of the Movement who is called back to the compound amid suspicions of corruption.
HULU's THE MINDY PROJECT
  • Original series co-star Chris Messina will return for the comedy's upcoming fifth season but as a recurring guest star instead of a series regular. The change largely reflects his decreased workload on the show that has been very apparent throughout the current fourth season.
OWN's THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS and LOVE THY NEIGHBOR
  • The Haves and the Have Nots starring John Schneider and Tika Sumpter will return for the second half of its fourth season on Tuesday, June 21 at 9/8c. - leading into the series premiere of Greenleaf at 10/9c. Love Thy Neighbor starring Patrice Lovely will continue its fourth season on Friday, July 1 at 9/8c. with two back-to-back episodes.
