Casting News - Niecy Nash & Betty Gilpin to Recur on 'Masters of Sex'; 'Son of Zorn' Adds Olivia Wilde; Plus 2 More Updates!

BET's Rebel; FOX's Son of Zorn; NBC's Chicago Justice; and Showtime's Masters of Sex.





SHOWTIME's MASTERS OF SEX
  • Niecy Nash (Getting On) and Betty Gilpin (Nurse Jackie) will recur on the drama's upcoming fourth season. Nash will play Louise Bell, a local AA chairperson running Masters' (Michael Sheen) court-ordered daily meetings. She fervently believes in AA's message, and uses it to push Masters of reevaluate his life. Gilpin will play Nancy, a former medical student of Barton's (Beau Bridges) who partners with Masters, adding a second MD to the practice.
FOX's SON OF ZORN
  • Olivia Wilde will guest star on the upcoming live-action/animated hybrid comedy which features her real-life fiancé Jason Sudeikis in the lead role. She will voice the animated character Radiana, an ex-girlfriend of Zorn's (Sudeikis) from their homeland of Zephryia. When Zorn starts to feel insecure when he doesn't have a date to bring to the engagement party for Edie (Cheryl Hines) and Craig (Tim Meadows), he contacts his old flame. A romance restarts between the two, but this relationship may turn out to be too toxic, in a literal sense.
NBC's CHICAGO JUSTICE
  • Michael S. Chernuchin (Law & Order) has been tapped to serve as executive producer and showrunner on the upcoming midseason drama - the latest spinoff of Dick Wolf's succssful Chicago franchise.
BET's REBEL
  • Danielle Moné Truitt, Giancarlo Esposito, Mykelti Williamson, Cliff "Method Man" Smith and Brandon Quinn will star in the upcoming drama from John Singleton. Truitt will play Rebecca "Rebel" Knight, an Oakland cop who has excelled by playing by the rules but always has known that she must be better and smarter on the job because she is both black and female. After her brother is killed by police, Rebel becomes disillusioned with the system and is forced to take maters into her own hands and becomes a private investigator and a champion for her community. Esposito will play Rebel's lieutenant, a good friends and mentor. Williamson will play Rene Knight, Rebel's father, a strong but brother who blames her for her brother's death. Smith will play TJ, Rebel's ex-husband, who can't seem to stay away from her because they still have so much passion. Quinn will play Thompson "Mack" McIntyre, Rebel's partner whose decision to shoot Rebel's brother places him squarely between her career and her family.
