Comedy Central Renews 'Idiotsitter' for Season 2

Comedy Central has renewed is original comedy series Idiotsitter for a second season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central. The order is for 10 episodes which will debut in 2017.






The first season followed Billie (Charlotte Newhouse), a cash-strapped, straight and narrow Ivy League grad, who reluctantly answered a babysitting ad to make ends meet, only to find out what is actually needed is a court-appointed guardian for Gene (Jillian Bell), an heiress under house arrest in her daddy's mansion.

The cast also included Stephen Root as Gene's permissive and oblivious dad and Jennifer Elise Cox as her stepmother. Guest stars in the first season included Randall Park, Andrew W.K., Chris Klein and Channing Tatum.

Bell and Newhouse created the comedy. They executive produce with Pam Kohl, Amy Slomovitz, Dave Becky, Brady McKay, John Levenstein, Monika Zielinska and Daniel Wolfberg.

"I don't know what it is about that title, but it just resonates for me..." said Alterman.

"We're so excited to get to do this again," said Bell and Newhouse. "It's literally the most fun we've ever had in our lives. Hopefully the new college atmosphere will broaden our minds and teach us how to butt chug."
