FOX's EMPIRE
  • Taye Diggs (Private Practice, Murder in the First) has been cast in a major recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. He will play Angelo Dubois, a city councilman from a respected and affluent New York family. With his pedigree and Harvard law diploma, he could have made a fortune in the private sector. Instead, he is ruled by his sense of noblesse oblige, and focuses his energies on community organizing and local politics.
NETFLIX's SANTA CLARITA DIET
  • Joy Osmanski (Devious Maids, Save Me) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming comedy starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. She will play Alondra, Joel (Olyphant) and Sheila's (Barrymore) other next door neighbor. She is quiet and reserved. She works for the city in an office job where she stays under the radar. She also just had a baby.
HBO's GAME OF THRONES
  • After weeks of speculation saying the fantasy drama was eyeing a later production start for its upcoming season so winter can finally arrive, HBO has confirmed that the upcoming seventh season will debut in Summer 2017 instead of the typical March/April time frame. The premium cable network also announced that Season 7 will consist of only seven episodes. Production is slated to begin later this year in Northern Ireland, Spain and Iceland with Mark Mylod, Jeremy Podeswa, Matt Shakman and Alan Taylor set to direct. However, the move to summer for Season 7 means the show won't be eligible for next year's Emmys. The news comes after the series was the most nominated show this year - landing 23 total nominations.
ABC's QUANTICO
  • Tracy Ifeachor (The Originals), David Lim (Criminal Minds) and Aaron Diaz (Tierra de Reyes) have landed recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Ifeachor will play Lydia Bates, a highly accomplished actuary with a few twists up her sleeve. Lim will play Sebastian Chen, a focused and confident future agent. Diaz will play León Velez, a thrill-seeking photojournalist with no home or life outside his backpack.
FOX's GOTHAM
  • Benedict Samuel (The Walking Dead) has been cast as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming third season. He will play Jervis Tetch, more famously known as the Mad Hatter, a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness. He arrives in Gotham with an unwavering desire to find his sister, Alice, a young woman who went missing in the city years ago. It is anyone's guess just how far down the rabbit hole he's willing to go in order to find her.
SPIKE's THE MIST
  • Morgan Spector (Allegiance, Boardwalk Empire) is set for the lead role on the upcoming drama also starring Frances Conroy and Alyssa Sutherland. He will play Kevin Copeland, the epitome of the modern, liberal and civilized man, devoted to his wife and teenage daughter. He lives his life by high moral values and throughout his life he has refused to give into the anger and prejudice he sees in other people. However, with the arrival of the mist, his moral compass will be put to the test for his and his family's survival.
NBC's POWERLESS
  • Undateable alum Ron Funches has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy as a new series regular. He will play Ron, an IT guy who works at RetCon Insurance Company. Ron is a sweet and innocent guy who, unlike his co-workers, has not lost his childlike enthusiasm for all things superhero.
USA's SHOOTER
  • The cable network has once again delayed the premiere of its new drama series starring Ryan Phillippe due to the recent tragedies in Nice, France and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Unlike the first time the show was delayed, the network is benching the premiere until the fall - with a precise premiere date to be announced at a later date.
