ABC's Once Upon a Time; The CW's Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow & The Vampire Diaries; and NBC's Blindspot.





THE CW's ARROW
  • Joe Dinicol (Blindspot, The L.A. Complex) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fifth season. He will play Rory Regan, the mystical vigilante known as Ragman. Following a personal tragedy, he hopes to find answers in Star City but ultimately crosses paths with Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).
ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME
  • The drama's upcoming sixth season is taking on the story of Aladdin, it was revealed today during the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel. Deniz Akdeniz (South Beach) has been cast as Aladdin, Karen David (Galavant) will portray Princess Jasmine, while Oded Fehr (Covert Affairs) will play the villainous Jafar. The series previously tackled the Jafar storyline in the short-lived spinoff Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. At the time, the character was played by Naveen Andrews, who was unable to reprise the role due to his regular commitments to Netflix's Sense8.
THE CW's THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
  • The upcoming eighth season of the hit drama starring Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley will be its final one, it was announced today during the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The final season will include 16 episodes. Despite being busy with his new midseason drama Time After Time at ABC, series co-creator Kevin Williamson will return to write one of the final episodes.
NBC's BLINDSPOT
  • Luke Mitchell (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Michelle Hurd (Daredevil) have joined the drama's upcoming second season as new series regulars. They will play two members of the mysterious organization that sent Jane (Jaimie Alexander) to the FBI without her memory and cryptic tattoos all over her body.
THE CW's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
  • Stephen Amell will appear as Mayor Oliver Queen in the season premiere of the drama's upcoming second season. Additionally, Johnathon Schaech will reprise his role as Jonah Hex in the sixth episode of the season.
  • Moreover, the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con revealed that the second season will see the team of heroes aboard the Waverider face off with the Legion of Doom, a villainous group comprised of Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). It was previously announced that Barrowman and Miller signed new contracts that would make them series regulars on all of the CW's DC shows. Meanwhile, Letscher has joined the second season as a series regular while McDonough will simply be recurring.
