FOX's Empire; Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale; National Geographic's Genius; Netflix's G.L.O.W.; and Starz's Outlander.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC's GENIUS
  • Emily Watson, Michael McElhatton, Seth Gabel, Samantha Colley, Richard Topol and Vincent Kartheiser have been cast on the upcoming anthology series starring Geoffrey Rush. McElhatton will play Dr. Philipp Lenard, a physicist and early role model for Einstein (Rush) who evolved into his longtime adversary. Gabel will play Michele Besso, Einstein's longtime friend and confidant. Colley will play Mileva Maric, a fellow student of Einstein's during his university years in Zurich who later became his first wife and mother to his three children. Topol will play Fritz Haber, a brilliant chemist and close colleague of Einstein's who held some non-traditional and controversial political views. Kartheiser will play Raymond Geist, a consulate official in Berlin.
STARZ's OUTLANDER
  • David Berry (A Place to Call Home) has joined the drama's upcoming third season in the key role of Lord John Grey. He's a steadfast and honorable British subject, torn between a finely-honed sense of familial duty and a strong moral compass of right and wrong. He is boyishly handsome with an upper class rearing - the consummate gentleman. However, a scandal from his past has relegated Lord John to an undesirable position as governor of a desolate prison in Northern Scotland.
FOX's EMPIRE
  • Tony winner Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Diana Dubois. She will play Diana Dubois, a powerhouse from one of New York's oldest and most prominent African-American families. As the mother of ambitious city councilman Angelo Dubois (guest star Taye Diggs), she has her sights set on higher office for her only son, and she'll stop at nothing to help him get to the top. Diana's interactions with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), Lucious (Terrence Howard) and the rest of the Lyon family will lay bare the stark class divides that can exist even within the black community.
NETFLIX's G.L.O.W.
  • Alison Brie (Community, BoJack Horseman) has booked a starring role on the upcoming comedy created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. She will play Ruth, a struggling actress whose dreams of fame take a surprising turn when she's thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women's wrestling.
HULU's THE HANDMAID'S TALE
  • Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck, 24: Live Another Day) has landed a lead role on the upcoming drama starring Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes. She will play Serena Joy, the wife of Commander Waterford (Fiennes) and the head of the household staff. As an influential public figure, she fought for traditional values and the establishment of Gilead.
