FX's Singularity; Lifetime's A Midsummer's Nightmare; and TNT's Claws.






FX's SINGULARITY
  • The cable network has ordered a pilot for single camera comedy Singularity written by Sonny Lee. He executive produces with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. FX Productions and Point Grey Pictures produce. The project is set in a future when artificial intelligence greatly surpasses human intelligence, resulting in profound changes to our society.
TNT's CLAWS
  • Emmy winner Carrie Preston (The Good Wife, True Blood) is set for a lead role on the dramedy pilot starring Niecy Nash. Additionally, Janine Sherman Barrois (Criminal Minds, ER) and Nicole Kassell (The Killing, The Following) have boarded the pilot as showrunner and director, respectively. Preston will play Polly, a mild-mannered preppy who works as a manicurist at the nail salon. She has recently been released from prison where she did time for identity theft on seniors.
LIFETIME's A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHTMARE
  • The cable network has given a pilot order to season-long anthology series A Midsummer's Nightmare written by Anthony Jaswinski. He will co-executive produce while Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry are executive producers. A+E Studios produces. The first season will center on four young lovers who steal off into the woods in pursuit of their romantic desires, but their plans are quickly thwarted when terrifying forces in the deep woods target the stranded group, using their own fantasies and darkest secrets against them.
