FOX's STAR
  • Empire alum Naomi Campbell is reuniting with Lee Daniels on his new midseason drama series starring Queen Latifah. She will recur in the first season as Rose Spencer, the beautiful, wealthy and cultivated London-born mother of Alexandra (Ryan Destiny).
FOX's MAKING HISTORY
  • Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Documentary Now!) will appear in an upcoming episode of the midseason comedy starring Adam Pally and Leighton Meester. He will play Nikola Tesla, a famous, eccentric and brilliant scientist. He helps the central trio fix their time machine, and they become ensnared in his bizarre personal problems.
STARZ's COUNTERPART
  • Olivia Williams (Manhattan) and Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones) have been cast on the upcoming drama starring Oscar winner J.K. Simmons. William will play Emily Burton Silk, Howard's (Simmons) wife, a mysterious woman whose secrets become the centerpiece of the first season. Lloyd will play Peter Quayle, an upper-crust director at Howard's agency whose carefully calibrated career slowly begins to unravel as he sinks deeper into the world of espionage and double lives.
WGN AMERICA's UNDERGROUND
  • Grammy and Oscar winner John Legend - who serves as an executive producer on the series - will appear on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Frederick Douglass, a famed abolitionist and author. Born into slavery, he daringly escaped bondage in Maryland and went onto become a revolutionary leader of the 19th century. A prominent writer, celebrated speaker and progressive political reformist, he was considered a beacon of hope for many.
CBS' CRIMINAL MINDS
  • Damon Gupton (Bates Motel, Empire) has joined the drama's twelfth season as a new series regular. He will debut in the eighth episode as Special Agent Stephen Walker, a seasoned profiler from the Behavioral Analysis Program who will bring his spy-hunting skills to the BAU.
