Syfy's Happy!, The Haunted and The Machine.

SYFY's THE MACHINE
  • The cable network has ordered three drama pilots today. First up is artificial intelligence drama The Machine based on the 2013 film of the same name. Caradog James and John Giwa-Amu will serve as executive producers. Universal Cable Productions and Red & Black Films will produce. Set in a world that is being transformed by the emergence of artificial intelligence, the project explores the epic conflict between man and technology through the lives and motivations of six interwoven characters - each of whom holds the key to humanity's victory or its destruction.
SYFY's THE HAUNTED
  • The next pilot order at Syfy today is for drama The Haunted written by Noga Landau. Landau will serve as co-executive producer. James Frey and Todd Cohen will executive produce. Universal Cable Productions and Full Fathom Five will produce. The project centers on four siblings who reunite following their parents' deaths. As they try to overcome their fractured personal relationships, they find that they must also face the literal ghosts from their past in order to survive.
SYFY's HAPPY!
  • Syfy's final pilot order today is for drama Happy! based on Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson's graphic novel. Morrison and Brian Taylor wrote the pilot, with Taylor also set to direct. They will executive produce with Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty and Toby Jaffe. Universal Cable productions and Original Films will produce. The project follows Nick Sax - an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man - who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse.
