Casting News - Tessa Ferrer to Return to ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy'; Michael Ealy Joins BET's 'Being Mary Jane'; Plus 2 More Updates!

Casting News - October 10, 2016

ABC's Grey's Anatomy; BET's Being Mary Jane; The CW's Riverdale; and FOX's The Mick.

BET's BEING MARY JANE
  • Michael Ealy (The Following, Secrets & Lies) has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming fourth season as a new series regular. He will play Justin Talbot, the new producer of Great Day USA who, unfortunately for Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union), also is the man who previously got her fired from CNN. Upon arriving at Great Day USA, he remains a thorn in Mary Jane's side, and she must learn to cleverly circumvent his power plays.
ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY
  • Tessa Ferrer is set to reprise her role as Leah Murphy in multiple episodes of the drama's thirteenth season. She debuted at the started of the ninth season as one of several new interns at the hospital - alongside Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton). She was promoted to series regular for the tenth season but exited the drama at the end of the year. Murphy was let go from the program because her skills weren't up to par. During her time on the show, she had a flirtatious relationship with Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). The timing of her return is certainly interesting because Arizona is going to be getting a new love interest at some time this season.
THE CW's RIVERDALE
  • Looking star Raúl Castillo has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama series. He will play Oscar, a serious and successful songwriter from New York who is also a visiting professor at Carson College, located in Riverdale. Cool and exacting, he agrees to audition Archie (K.J. Apa) in the hopes of possibly mentoring the aspiring singer-songwriter.
FOX's THE MICK
  • Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters) has landed a recurring role on the upcoming comedy starring Kaitlin Olson. He will play Teddy Grant, a sophisticated, handsome adventurer and the scion of family that's been in Greenwich since the Revolutionary War. He takes a liking to Mickey (Olson), and finds her down-to-earth personality quite refreshing. However, before long things go awry.
