Casting News - October 14, 2016

CBS' NCIS; and Netflix's She's Gotta Have It, Stranger Things & Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.

NETFLIX's STRANGER THINGS
  • After recurring throughout the first season, Joe Kerry and Noah Schnapp have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming second season. Additionally, Sadie Sink (American Odyssey) and Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers) have joined the regular cast. Kerry plays Steve Harrington, Nancy's (Natalia Dyer) boyfriend. Schnapp plays Will Byers, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas' (Caleb McLaughlin) friend who was trapped in the Upside Down. Sink will play Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls. She has a complicated history and is generally suspicious of those around her. Montgomery will play Billy, Max's hyper-confident and edgy older step-brother. He steals girlfriends away from their boyfriends, is great at drinking games and drives a black Camaro. But lurking under his apparent charisma, is a violent and unpredictable nature.
NETFLIX's SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT
  • DeWanda Wise (Shots Fired, Underground) has been cast in the lead role on the upcoming drama from Spike Lee. She will play Nola Darling, a Brooklyn-based artist in her late 20s struggling to define herself and divide her time amongst her friends, her job and her three lovers. She is a sexually liberated, free spirited painter and mixed media artist.
CBS' NCIS
  • Jesse Bradford (Bring It On) and Jesse Johnson (Killing Lincoln) will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's fourteenth season. They will play two of Bishop's (Emily Wickersham) brothers. Bradford will play John, the goofiest and most affable of the bunch but also the most protective. Johnson will play Robert, focused, analytical and distracted by the munchies.
NETFLIX's WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: TEN YEARS LATER
  • Royal Pains star Mark Feuerstein has booked a role on the upcoming sequel series to the hit movie. He will play a friendly, hard-working guy and a core member of the group who has definitely always been there every step of the way. He's now a powerful businessman, successful and in love.
