CBS Cancels 'BrainDead' and 'American Gothic'

CBS has cancelled two of its summer drama series tonight - BrainDead and American Gothic. Both shows ran for only one season. Of the three scripted shows CBS aired this past summer, Zoo is the only one that will return next year.





BrainDead starred Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit, Nikki M. James, Jan Maxwell, Johnny Ray Gill, Charlie Semine an Tony Shalhoub.

Robert and Michelle King created the political satire series. They served as executive producers with Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker. CBS Television Studios, Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions produced.

American Gothic starred Juliet Rylance, Antony Starr, Justin Chatwin, Megan Ketch, Stephanie Leonidas, Gabriel Bateman and Virginia Madsen.

Corinne Brinkerhoff created the murder mystery series. She served as executive producer with Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, James Frey, Matt Shakman and Todd Cohen. CBS Television Studios, Amblin Television, Full Fathom Five and Hyla Regilla Productions produced.
