SHOWTIME's SMILF
  • Samara Weaving (Ash vs. Evil Dead) and Ismael Cruz Cordova (Ray Donovan) have been cast on the comedy pilot starring Frankie Shaw. Weaving will play Nelson Rose, a recent college graduate with a burgeoning career as a sportscaster. She has fallen in love with Rafi and looks at him as her new pet project. Cordova will play Rafi, a 28-year-old man-child and recovering addict who is trying to navigate the new world of being a good ex-boyfriend to Brigette (Shaw) and baby daddy to his 2-year-old son, Larry.
SHOWTIME's MATING
  • Emma Duncan (Cymbeline) has booked a series regular role on the comedy pilot starring Taran Killam. She will play Katie, Jay's (Killam) ex-wife, his first and only love who he married after graduation but now feels she's outgrown him.
TV LAND's HEATHERS
  • Melanie Field, Brendan Scannell and Jasmine Mathews will play the title roles on the comedy pilot based on the film of the same name. Field will play Heather Chandler, who has a body like Martha Dumptruck. Scannell will play Heather Duke, a male who identifies as gender-queer whose real name is Heath. Mathews will play Heather McNamara, a black lesbian.
