BET's Being Mary Jane; CBS' Kevin Can Wait; Cinemax's Outcast; The CW's Arrow; and FOX's Star.
BET's BEING MARY JANE
- Cardi B (Love & Hip Hop), Vanessa Angel (Stargate SG-1) and Senator Cory Booker will appear on the drama's upcoming fourth season. B will play Mercedes, a reality star with a round-the-way beauty, big weave, big boobs and a big booty to match her oversized, ratchet personality. Angel will recur as Olivia Bianchi, a real estate agent who becomes a mentor figure to Paul (B.J. Britt). Booker will more than likely appear as himself.
THE CW's ARROW
- Lexa Doig (Continuum, Stargate SG-1) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's fifth season. She will play Talia al Ghul, Ra's al Ghul's (Matt Nable) daughter and Nyssa's (Katrina Law) half-sister. Worldly and cultured, she is an elite warrior who doesn't pick sides but rather creates her own. She is an expert hand-to-hand fighter, extremely well-trained in most weapons and highly intelligent.
FOX's STAR
- The new drama created by Lee Daniels will get a special preview airing on Wednesday, December 14 at 9/8c. immediately following the fall finale of Empire (which will air an hour earlier at 8/7c.) The new series will then continue its first season on Wednesday, January 4 at 9/8c. The drama stars Queen Latifah, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O'Grady, Nicholas Gonzalez and Benjamin Bratt.
CBS' KEVIN CAN WAIT
- Adam Sandler will appear in an upcoming episode of the hit comedy starring Kevin James. He will play Kevin's (James) former patrol partner who is much happier now with his new partner, Nick, then he was with Kevin. And thus, Kevin sets out to show his old friend what he's missing.
CINEMAX's OUTCAST
- Chris Greene (The Birth of a Nation) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Oscar, a member of a cult-like church in Rome.
