Amazon's Strange New Things and TNT's Snowpiercer.
TNT's SNOWPIERCER
- The cable network has given a pilot order to drama Snowpiercer, a futuristic thriller based on the acclaimed 2013 film of the same name. Josh Friedman (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) wrote the pilot. He will executive produce with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Bong Joon-Ho, Park Chan-Wook, Lee Tae-Hun and Dooho Choi. Studio T, Tomorrow Studios and CJ Entertainment will produce. The project is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland and the remnants of humanity inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. The show questions class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival.
AMAZON's STRANGE NEW THINGS
- Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire, 24) has been cast on the drama pilot starring Richard Madden and Haley Joel Osment. He will play Vikram Danesh, the authoritative head of the base on Oasis.
