CMT's HIS WIVES & DAUGHTERS
- Jeff Kober (Sons of Anarchy) and Gail O'Grady (NYPD Blue) will star in the drama pilot written by Dina Chapman and Steve Sessions. Kober will play Eddie Ray Banks, a crossover sensation in the 70s with a No. 1 album and hit movie, in addition to his television variety show. His tabloid-worthy personal life and relationships contributed to his fame just as much as his work achievements. In a career spanning almost 50 years, Eddie always had a big heart but his good intentions were ruined by hard-living. O'Grady will play Donna Banks, Eddie's vain and materialistic second wife who worked with him on his variety show and then stole him away from his first wife, Lorna (Jane Seymour). She has a codependent relationship with her daughter, Carolyn.
HBO's SUCCESSION
- Hiam Abbass, Alan Ruck, Rob Yang, Parker Sawyers and Peter Friedman have joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Jesse Armstrong. Abbass will play Marcia, Logan's (Brian Cox) current wife, a loving and formidable partner. Ruck will play Connor Roy, the eldest son and only child from Logan's first marriage. Although also on the board of directors at the firm, Connor ploughs his own furrow. Yang will play Lawrence, the founder and CEO of a digital media outfit who is the target of a buyout. Sawyers will play Alessandro, a young, bright and up-and-coming executive at the family firm. Friedman will play Francis, COO of the firm, old family friend and a mentor figure to Kendall (Jeremy Strong).
