THE CW's THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
  • It's official: Nina Dobrev is set to return for the series finale of the hit drama series. The announcement was made today on Dobrev's Instagram. Dobrev starred on the drama since the very beginning and left at the end of Season 6 to focus on other career opportunities. In her final episode, her character, Elena, was forced into a deep slumber as the result of a spell. She sacrificed herself to save her friend Bonnie (Kat Graham). The series finale airs Friday, March 10.
SYFY's CHANNEL ZERO: THE NO-END HOUSE
  • Chasing Life alum Aisha Dee has joined the cast of the anthology series' upcoming second season. She will play Jules, the stubborn and independent best friend to Margot (Amy Forsyth). She is always loyal to her friend but she doesn't always know how to deal with messy emotional situations.
FREEFORM's SHADOWHUNTERS
  • Will Tudor (Game of Thrones, Humans) has booked a major role on the drama's second season. He will play Sebastian Verlac, a shadowhunter from the London Institute. He will debut on the show during the second half of the current second season.
ABC's SOMEWHERE BETWEEN
  • Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol) has signed on to star in the upcoming drama created by Stephen Tolkin. She will play Laura Price, a superstar news producer and fiercely loving mom. She isn't crazy but she knows her daughter Serena is going to be murdered. She doesn't know who the murderer is or why she'll be killed, but she knows exactly when, where and how it will happen. Despite this, all her attempts to keep her daughter safe fail and Serena's fixed, unmovable and terrifying fate keeps her directly in the path of her killer. The drama marks the first series regular role for Patton.
STARZ's THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE
  • Anna Friel, Louisa Krause and Carmen Ejogo have been cast on the limited series' upcoming second season. The new season will focus on two parallel storylines - one in Washington, D.C. and the other in New Mexico. The first storyline is set against the backdrop of the corrupting influence of dark money in the upcoming 2018 U.S. mid-term elections, where everything and everyone has a price. It tracks an unexpected and complex relationship between Erica Myles (Friel), a commanding and strong-willed finance director of a Republican super PAC, and Anna Greenwald (Krause), a confident and intelligent GFE provider at the top of her game. The second storyline follows Bria Jones (Ejogo) who discovers disturbing information about a regular client and is forced to relocate to a remote location in New Mexico. Unable to shake her desire for risky relationships and the finer things in life, she navigates her new penniless and surreal existence by forming eerily intimate transactional relationships. While her ghosts from the past continue to haunt, her new connections with men redefine the meaning of the Girlfriend Experience.
LIFETIME's UNREAL
  • Kassandra Clementi (Home and Away) and Jaime Callica (Wayward Pines) have joined the cast of the drama's upcoming third season.
