ABC's UNTITLED PAUL WILLIAM DAVIES PROJECT
  • ABC has given a pilot order to an untitled drama written by Paul William Davies (Scandal). He serves as executive producer with Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. ABC Studios and Shondaland produce. Set in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) Federal Court, aka "The Mother Court," the project follows brand new lawyers working on opposite sides - for both the defense and the prosecution - as they handle the most high-profile and high-stakes cases in the country, all as their personal lives intersect.
CBS' 9J, 9K, AND 9L
  • The broadcast network has made its first pilot pickups today - first up, is multi-camera comedy 9J, 9K, and 9L inspired by the life of Royal Pains star Mark Feuerstein. He co-wrote the pilot with Dana Klein. They executive produce with Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling and Dana Honor. CBS Television Studios and Kapital Entertainment produce. The project centers on a man (Feuerstein) who lives in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his parents' apartment 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law and their baby's apartment, 9L, and his attempts to set boundaries with his intrusive but well-meaning family.
CBS' MISSION CONTROL
  • CBS has also handed out a pilot order to drama Mission Control written by The Martian author Andy Weir. He executive produces with showrunner Charles Eglee, Simon Kinberg, Aditya Sood, Courtney Conte and Quan Phung. CBS Television Studios and Slingshot Productions produce. The project revolves around the next generation of NASA astronauts and scientists who juggle both their personal and professional lives during a critical mission with no margin for error.
