Casting News - Anson Mount to Star in ABC's 'The Inhumans'; Kamal Angelo Bolden Joins 'Chicago Fire'; Plus 3 More Updates!

ABC's The Inhumans; CBS' Salvation; NBC's Chicago Fire; and TNT's The Alienist & The Last Ship.





ABC's THE INHUMANS
  • Hell on Wheels alum Anson Mount will star in the upcoming drama from Marvel. He will play Black Bolt, the enigmatic and commanding King of the Inhumans who has a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. 
TNT's THE LAST SHIP
  • After recurring throughout the third season and the upcoming fourth, Emerson Brooks has been promoted to series regular for the already announced fifth season. He plays Captain Joseph Meylan, the former commanding officer of the USS Hayward who now works on the USS Nathan James.
NBC's CHICAGO FIRE
  • Kamal Angelo Bolden (Rosewood, Insecure) has booked a recurring role on the drama's fifth season - with an option to become a series regular should the drama be renewed for Season 6. He will play Kamal, a charismatic, magnetic, fun-loving, positive and loyal firefighter with a million dollar smile. He is the guy who want beside you in a burning building and sitting next to you cracking jokes at the bar.
CBS' SALVATION
  • Shazi Raja (High Maintenance) and Rachel Drance (Reign) have joined the upcoming drama as series regulars. Raja will play Amanda Charles, a junior reporter for a D.C. tabloid news site determined to break that one killer story that will launch her career as an investigative journalist - until she discovers the story she's onto could cause a worldwide panic. Drance will play Zoe, a high school senior near graduation who's always been an achiever and done the right thing, but finds herself taking risks she never thought she would after discovering a life-altering secret.
TNT's THE ALIENIST
  • Douglas Smith (Big Love) and Ted Levine (The Bridge) have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Daniel Brühl and Luke Evans. Smith will play Detective Sgt. Marcus Isaacson, an expert in the criminal sciences and forensic medicine and the abrasive twin brother of Lucius (Matthew Shear). The pair are called upon to help with the investigation. Levine will play Thomas Byrnes, the incredibly confident ex-police chief who is prominent in helping unravel the mystery.
