FX Gives Series Order to Drama 'Pose' Created by Ryan Murphy

FX is turning to Ryan Murphy once again with its next drama series. Today, the cable network has given a series order to drama Pose created by Murphy, frequent collaborator Brad Falchuk and up-and-coming writer Stephen Canals. The series will debut in 2018.

Set in 1986, Pose examines the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York City: the emergence of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world.

Unlike Murphy's other series at FX (which includes American Horror Story, American Crime Story and Feud), Pose is an ongoing series and not a season-long anthology. Casting has already begun, which is expected to feature largely new and unknown performers.

Murphy, Falchuk and Canals will executive produce with Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. FX Productions, Fox 21 Television Studios, Ryan Murphy Productions and Color Force will produce.
