Casting News - 'The Walking Dead' Promotes Trio to Series Regulars; Tyler Labine Joins 'Dirk Gently'; Plus 1 More Update!

AMC's The Walking Dead; BBC America's Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency; and NBC's Law & Order: True Crime.





AMC's THE WALKING DEAD
  • Katelyn Nacon, Steven Ogg and Pollyanne McIntosh have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming eighth season. Nacon plays Enid, a teenager in Alexandria who is friends with Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Carl (Chandler Riggs). Ogg plays Simon, Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) right-hand man. McIntosh plays Jadis, the leader of the Scavengers. Nacon has recurred on the show since Season 5. Ogg and McIntosh joined as recurring in Seasons 6 and 7, respectively.
BBC AMERICA's DIRK GENTLY'S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY
  • Tyler Labine (Deadbeat, Reaper) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Sherlock Hobbs, an under-stimulated but overly enthusiastic small-town sheriff who is eager to help Dirk (Samuel Barnett) solve the new mystery of the season.
NBC's LAW & ORDER: TRUE CRIME - THE MENENDEZ MURDERS
  • Gus Halper (Power, Public Morals) has been cast on the upcoming anthology series starring Edie Falco. He will play Erik Menendez, who - along with his brother - was convicted in 1996 of murdering his parents and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
