Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of an untitled drama series based on the 1959 novel The Haunting of Hill House. Mike Flanagan is set to write and direct the series adaptation.
The series is described as a modern-day re-imagining of the Shirley Jackson novel. It follows four people as they spend a summer in a rented mansion. They soon begin to experience a wide range of supernatural phenomena.
Flanagan will serve as executive producer with Trevor Macy, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. Amblin Television and Paramount Television will produce.
