TBS Renews 'The Detour' for Season 3

Ahead of its Season 2 finale tonight, TBS has renewed its original comedy series The Detour for a third season. The new season will include 12 episodes, which will debut in 2018.

The comedy stars Jason Jones, Natalie Zea, Ashley Gerasimovich, Liam Carroll and Daniella Pineda.

In Season 2, Nate moved the family to New York City for a fresh start with a promising new job opportunity. Despite questionable parenting and terrible decisions, the love the Parkers have for each other will keep the family intact as they endure another disastrous adventure.

Jason Jones and Samantha Bee created the series. They executive produce with Brennan Shroff and Tony Hernandez. Studio T, Jax Media and Randy & Pam's Quality Entertainment produce.

"I hear from so many people who love The Detour, even my hard-core comedy friends," said Thom Hinkle, Senior Vice President of Original Programming, TBS. "Season two has been so smart, hilarious and wrong. And from the early nuggets I've gotten from Jason and Sam, season three is going to be even more effed up."
