'Deception' and 'Splitting Up Together' Ordered to Series at ABC

ABC made the bulk of its new series pickups yesterday. But this evening, the network has handed out series orders to drama Deception and comedy Splitting Up Together.






DECEPTION: When his career is ruined by scandal, superstar magician Cameron Black has only one place to turn to practice his art of deception, illusion and influence - the FBI. He'll become the world's first consulting illusionist, helping the government solve crimes that defy explanation, and trap criminals and spies by using deception.

The drama stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Ilfenesh Hadera, Amaury Nolasco, Lenora Crichlow, Justin Chon, Vinnie Jones and Laila Robins.

Chris Fedak wrote the pilot, which was directed by David Nutter. They executive produce with Greg Berlanti, Martin Gero and Sarah Schechter. David Kwong is a co-producer. Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions produce.


SPLITTING UP TOGETHER: Based on the 2016 Danish series, a couple's marriage is reignited by their divorce.

The comedy stars Jenna Fischer, Oliver Hudson, Diane Farr, Lindsay Price, Olivia Keville, Bobby Lee, Van Crosby, Sander Combs, Geoff Pierson, Lucas Near-Verbrugghe and Kelsey Abille

Emily Kapnek wrote the pilot, which was directed by Dean Holland. They executive produce with Ellen DeGeneres, Mette Heeno, Jeff Kleeman, Hella Joof and Mie Andreasen. Warner Bros. Television, Piece of Pie Productions and A Very Good Production produce.
