OWN's QUEEN SUGAR
  • Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue), Alimi Ballard (The Catch) and Margot Bingham (Boardwalk Empire) have been cast in recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Lawrence will play Lorna, Charley's (Dawn-Lyen Gardner) mother, a sophisticated, charismatic, complicated, successful and self-motivated businesswoman who raised her daughter to never settle for second best. Ballard will play Dr. Robert Dubois, an epidemiologist who works at The Center for American Progress. Sincere, charming and intellectual, he makes a lasting impression on Nova (Rutina Wesley). Bingham will play Tamar Judith, a cool and confident pop singer who crosses paths with Davis (Timon Kyle Durrett).
THE CW's SUPERNATURAL
  • Mark Sheppard will not return as a series regular for the drama's upcoming thirteenth season. He played Crowley, who died in the recent season finale by sacrificing his own life to seal the rift between worlds. He's been a series regular since Season 10 and recurred on the drama before that.
FOX's STAR
  • After recurring in the first season, Miss Lawrence has been promoted to series regular for the drama's upcoming second season. She plays Miss Bruce, who works at Carlotta's (Queen Latifah) salon.
