NBC Cancels 'Chicago Justice' After One Season

It turns out four series was ultimately too much for the Chicago franchise on NBC. It was announced today that the network has canceled Chicago Justice after one season.

The drama starred Philip Winchester, Jon Seda, Joelle Carter, Monica Barbaro and Carl Weathers.

Dick Wolf, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt and Matt Olmstead developed the series. They executive produced with Michael Chernuchin, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television and Wolf Films produced.

In its first season, the drama averaged a 1.6 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 8.7 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers.

It's currently unclear if any of the series regular cast will continue to appear on any of the other three Chicago shows - which were all renewed for next season.
