NBC continues to make its pilot decisions this evening - handing out a series order to original comedy series A.P. Bio.
A.P. BIO: A philosophy scholar loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school AP biology teacher. At his new job, he makes it clear he will not be teaching any biology. Realizing he has a room full of honor roll students at his disposal, he decides instead to use the kids to his own benefit.
The comedy stars Glenn Howerton, Patton Oswalt, Mary Sohn, Lyric Lewis, Aparna Brielle, Nick Peine and Jacob McCarthy. Vanessa Bayer guest stars in the pilot.
Mike O'Brien wrote the pilot, which was directed by Osmany Rodriguez. They executive produce with Lorne Michaels, Seth Meyers, Andrew Singer and Mike Shoemaker. Universal Television and Broadway Video produce.
