Netflix Sets Premiere for Upcoming Drama 'Ozark' Starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney

Netflix has today announced a premiere date for its new original drama series Ozark starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney.







The 10-episode first season will drop on the streaming service on Friday, July 21.

Bateman will play financial planner Marty Bird, who suddenly relocates from a Chicago suburb to a summer resort community in the Missouri Ozarks, and who must pay off a debt to a Mexican drug lord. Linney plays his wife, Wendy.

The drama marks Bateman's return to series regular television since the fourth season of Arrested Development and Linney's return since the end of Showtime's The Big C.

The cast also includes Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Michael Mosley, Skylar Gaertner and Kevin L. Johnson.

Bill Dubuque created the series. He executive produces with Bateman, Mark Williams and Chris Mundy. Media Rights Capital and Aggerate Films produce.
