  • Laura Mennell (Alphas) and Eijiro Ozaki (Little Boy) have been cast in recurring roles on the drama's upcoming third season. Mennell will play Hedda Parsons, a New York gossip columnist type who is queen of the New York Nazi Reich social scene. Ozaki will play Admiral Inokuchi, a Japanese admiral who is a cool, calm and rational pragmatist.
  • Billy Burke is set to reprise his role as serial killer Phillip Stroh in an upcoming episode of the drama's sixth season. He was last season in the two-part Season 3 finale where he acted as his attorney during his trial and pull off an escape by murdering the judge in his chambers. He's been on the run ever since - with the show teasing that the key to finding him will be figuring out the mysterious identity of a woman he's desperate to find.
  • Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park will not be returning as series regulars for the drama's upcoming eighth season. They have both been with the drama since the pilot as Chin Ho Kelly and Kono Kalakaua, respectfully. Viewers will be updated on their characters in the season premiere, set for Friday, September 29. Season 7 did end with Kono traveling to Carson City to investigate a child sex trafficking ring while Chin had an offer to start a San Francisco task force.
  • Hannah Zeile, Niles Fitch, Logan Shroyer, Mackenzie Hancsicsak, Parker Bates, Faithe Herman and Eris Baker have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming second season. Noticeably absent from this list of promotions is Lonnie Chavis who played the 8-year-old version of Randall. He will continue to recur on the series, but contractually he can't be a series regular because he's already a regular on Showtime's upcoming comedy White Famous.

Ferrin will play Detective Joyce Roby, who's cool, smart, attractive and nobody's fool. She is the detective investigating Detective Winslow's (Michael O'Keefe) death.
