Casting News - June 6, 2017

The CW's Legends of Tomorrow and Epix's Graves.

THE CW's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
  • Tala Ashe (American Odyssey, Smash) has been cast as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a Muslim-American woman from the year 2030 who is living in a world of contradictions. Technology has elicited incredible change in her future - however, human nature hasn't kept pace. Fear, prejudice and a lack of care for the planet have forced Zari to become a "gray hat hacktivist." A computer nerd with a wry, combative attitude, she is a woman living a double life who doesn't realize that she has secret, latent powers from an ancient, mystical source.
EPIX's GRAVES
  • Sarah Baker (Louie) has booked a recurring role on the comedy's upcoming second second. Furthermore, Jacqueline Bisset (Dancing on the Edge) will appear as a guest star. Baker will play Becky Keegan, an old school friend who Olivia (Heléne Yorke) reconnects with at her baby shower, discovering to her horror that she bullied Becky ruthlessly in high school. Becky, an impressive mother and homemaker, eventually comes to be Olivia's guide on how to be a good mom. Bisset will play Diana Scott, President Graves' (Nick Nolte) brilliant and wry first wife, the Jane Wyman to Graves' Ronald Reagan. A political activist and college professor, she was Graves' first love during an all-but-forgotten period of his life - his politically idealistic 20s.
