FOX Cancels '24: Legacy' After One Season

FOX has decided to cancel its original drama series 24: Legacy after one season, it was announced today. However, the network and producers are said to be exploring new - possibly anthology - ways to continue the franchise.

The drama stared Corey Hawkins, Miranda Otto, Anna Diop, Teddy Sears, Ashley Thomas, Dan Bucatinsky, Coral Peña, Charlie Hofheimer, Sheila Vand, Raphael Acloque, Gerald McRaney and Jimmy Smits.

Manny Coto and Evan Katz created the series. They executive produced with Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer, Kiefer Sutherland and Stephen Hopkins. 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Television, Teakwood Lane Productions and Coto/Katz Productions produced.

Despite launching after the Super Bowl (where it averaged 17.6 million total viewers and a 6.1 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic), the first season was plagued by low ratings. The season averaged 6.3 million total viewers and a 1.7 in the demo, in Live+7 numbers.
