The CW Drama Pilot 'Insatiable' Lands Series Order at Netflix

Drama pilot Insatiable starring Debby Ryan and Dallas Roberts - which failed to get a series order at The CW this past pilot season - has just been picked up to series at Netflix. The order is for 13 episodes.

In Insatiable, a disgraced and dissatisfied civil lawyer-turned-beauty pageant coach takes on a vengeful, bullied teenager as his client, but he has no idea what he's about to unleash upon the world.

In addition to Ryan and Roberts, the drama stars Sarah Colonna, Erinn Westbrook, Michael Provost, Kimmy Shields, Irene Choi, Christopher Gorham and Alyssa Milano.

Lauren Gussis wrote the pilot, which was directed by Andrew Fleming. They executive produce with Ryan Seacrest, Nina Wass, Andrea Shay, Todd Hoffman and Dennis Kim. CBS Television Studios, Storied Media Group and Ryan Seacrest Productions produce.

The CW had a strong pilot season this year with all six of its pilots being contenders for series orders. It ultimately picked up four new shows - Black Lightning, Dynasty, Life Sentence and Valor. It failed to order Insatiable because it simply had no more resources for one more show despite the executives being very high on the final cut. As such, it was quickly shopped to other outlets - with Netflix finalizing a series order.
