Netflix Sets Premiere Date for Season 3 of 'Narcos'

Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming third season of its hit original drama series Narcos.

The 10-episode third season will drop on the streaming service on Friday, September 1.

Now that the bloody hunt for Pablo Escobar has ended, the DEA turns its attention to the richest drug trafficking organization in the world: the Cali Cartel. Led by four powerful godfathers, this cartel operates much differently than Escobar's, preferring to bribe government officials and keep its violent actions out of the headlines.

The new season stars Pedro Pascal, Damian Alcazar, Francisco Denis, Alberto Ammann, Pepe Rapazote, Matias Varela, Michael Stahl-David, Matt Whelan, Arturo Castro, Miguel Angel Silvestre and Kerry Bishé.

Chris Brancato, Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro created the drama. They executive produce with José Padilha, Eric Newman, Elisa Todd Ellis and Katie O'Connell. Gaumont International Television produces.

The drama has already been renewed for a fourth season.
